St. Joan of Arc's Resurrection Leads to National Recognition!
A beautiful article was written in the Criterion about the national recognition that St. Joan of Arc earned in March. The school received a Catholic Identity Award during the National Catholic Educational Association convention! Above is a picture of fifth grade students, Jaela Payne, Mary Cate Pachciarz, and Sam Osborn.

MATH PENTATHLON!!!
On Saturday, April 19th, eight students participated in the Math Pentathlon Tournament! Over 500 students participated from around Indiana and Ohio! Students have spent all year learning 5 math games that reinforce math standards and problem solving! I am so proud of each and everyone one of the students who stepped out of their comfort zone to compete. I hope to have twice as many students compete next year! Great Job!
A big thanks to all those parents who came out to support their child and St. Joan of Arc!

SPRING FLOWER SALE!
The fourth and fifth graders are having their first Spring Flower Sale in order to raise money for the new playground. On Friday, students stuffed the weekly bulletins with order forms for the flowers! Please contact the school office at 283-1518 if you would like to buy flats or hanging baskets. This would be a great Mother's Day gift. You can pick up your order on May 9th in the school gym. Thank you in advance for supporting our students.

Students in the fourth grade finished their unit of study on the Underground Railroad by creating salt water maps that depict the three routes the runaway slaves used to escape to freedom! I was impressed with their efforts and workmanship!
